PECULIAR FILIPINO WORDS
Words have always been part of our daily life. We always try to converse with others to learn new things and as well as to get to know them better. We frequently use words without any clue that there are things that barricades our communication which are those unfamiliar words that we haven’t realize that existed which confused our minds.
In our generation today, several of our Filipino words are now being forgotten because of the influence of different people and other countries. Filipino’s tends to choose the words which is easily understandable and common to all. Why are these words not usually used? Because most of people don’t know these words exist and they choose to ignore it for it has a translation that is more simpler. What are the reasons why it is not used? There are a lot of reasons why these are not being use and it’s because these words are unusual and uncommonly used by Filipinos. We cannot use these words because we are not familiar and we cannot hear it to others, we people always use words that is common to us, the words that is used in our everyday life, and another reasons why it is not usually used is because we haven’t heard it before and it is not used in our school or in our community. These particular words are often disremembered because of its deep pronunciation that people think is unnecessary and put it into a simpler word that everyone can understand so they used words that is easy to pronounced and the words that is capable to understand to each other in order for us to communicate or socialize with other people easily. Most of today’s youngsters enjoy other languages such as Korean language that is usually heard or read in social media that made them get attracted and lead them to study and explore the foreign languages.
We chose this words because this are the most uncommonly used Filipino words in any place such as school, house ,or community. We selected this words because most of the Filipinos don’t know these. When we saw this words, we realized that this words exist. We gain knowledge from this because when we converse to other people and we encounter this words, we will not be confuse.
Words and language is the soul of our nation it shouldn’t be forgotten nor neglected, we must treasure and teach it to the next generation because it is the identity of our country. We Filipinos are not only distinguish by the color of our skin but rather we are also distinguish by our words and language.
